About

Hi, I'm Rella

I was born and raised in Montana, and I'm proud to still call it home today. I love the outdoors and one of my favorite things to do in the whole world is to ski. I enjoy making sourdough and have many creative hobbies. I have two black cats who I love very much. When I was in high school I had no idea what I wanted to do. I tried out a few different jobs but nothing felt right. My journey into jewelry making began at 18, when I first started experimenting with wire wrapping. I created rings, crystal earrings, and beaded bracelets. I became interested in creating spoon rings. Curious to learn more, I began watching tutorials and researching the process. I began searching local antique and thrift store for vintage and antique spoons, gathered my first tools, and started creating. One of my very first spoon rings I made had a floral pattern, it remains one of my favorites to this day I still wear it almost every day. As I began sharing and selling my work to friends and family, my passion for jewelry making continued to grow. I have always loved rings, and eventually my curiosity led me to silversmithing. After taking a silversmithing class to learn the fundamentals, I continued developing my skills through online resources, videos, and hands on practice. Which has led me to today where I'm continuing to grow in creating one of a kind pieces and learn new skills. Well silversmithing isn't my full time job it's my creative outlet when the work day is done.

The story behind Wildflower Metalworks

I chose the name Wildflower Metalworks because it reflects both my journey as an artist and the place I call home. Montana is filled with beautiful wildflowers throughout spring and summer, and my first flower patterned spoon ring played a special part in the name inspiration. the outdoors have always been an important part of my life, and much of my inspiration comes from the landscapes, wild places, and natural beauty surrounding me. I spend as much time outside as possible and when the weather allows it, I even created my jewelry outdoors. Wildflower Metalworks brings together the things I love most working with my hands, giving old materials a new story, creating jewelry from metal and stone, and finding inspiration in the place I call home.

Thank you for being here and for supporting my journey.
